its home to some of the countries more famous sons and daughters like Juliana and Irene who are all singers, Roger Mugisha a radio personality and even politicians like the current speaker Rebecca Kadaga
like an old woman rejected for dead, the only good thing left about it is the driven from the gate. a symbol of the good work done by the white man. his name Father Grimes
but the wear and tear can still be noticed by the brown looking iron sheets that cover refugee to the white walls that once graced namasagali college at its great heights
but culture never dies and this can be seen by the graffiti that still dotes the walls. this was a music based school and this can dies. most halls host pictures or names of some of their more famous former students
but time rules every thing and even tractors have not been spared
the history accumulated over the years is littered around the school in form of waste
the buildings have roofs blown off by time and those that stand as class rooms have no sits neither window panes
while other schools cry over lack of halls to to host seminars namasagali yawn for a chance to host even a couple of students at a ago. that are tired of hosting spiders and wall crawlers
due to absence of a new coat of paint the students resorted to applying cheap graffiti of their names
the huge hall that doubles as a hall and a debating ground as well as the art room. this hard to tell especially with the high level of misuse
the tractor has not been spared
neither is the staff room
the swimming pool is decayed and in a state of dis repair
its hard to believe this where the school nutrition is maintained from. the school had tapped water but it has gone to waste and the walls are crumbling under the weight of regret
the kitchen is all beaten up with time and the feeding time table never switches form posho and beans
and the students today heading for supper
probably the prayer should be ‘God bless our School’ not our cooks because they surely need one
Thanks for the little insight… would you however be willing to join a causethat plans to fight tooth and nail to restore this great school?

Good heavens..! Why has this school been left to go to the dogs like this? I am really outraged at the gross neglect that this school has been left to. Where is the glory of Namasagali that blazed from the early 70’s to reach its apex till the 1990’s..?
Namasagali, it shouldn’t have been you to go down to the dust so ingloriously. You who schooled some of the brightest elites of Uganda..!

whats more painful is that the most notable members of society are OBs and OGs take for example the Speaker of parliament, s list of A-celebrities in Uganda and yet non has taken the initiative to redevelop the school one even wonders where do proceeds from those shows at the national theater go?
